Beaches Business Association (BBA)

Giving a Voice to Your Business Interests ~  Jacksonville beaches' communities

BBA HISTORY ~  In spring of 1991, Robert Grovenstein, D.C. (Chiropractor, Retired) founded the Beaches Business Association (BBA) by asking other retired presidents of the Northside Businessman's Club to help him start the organization.

Held at the Sea Turtle Hotel, on the ocean in Atlantic Beach, was the first club breakfast meeting. Many business leaders from the Jacksonville beaches' communities attended. Due to the over-whelming support of BBA, breakfast changed to weekly luncheon meetings, which resulted in tripling the membership!

Outgrowing several meeting places, members now meet at the Blue Typhoon Bar and Grill on Monday, arriving at 11:30 a.m. for networking. Speakers that are of business interest to the members are scheduled.

The association collaborates with other community leaders on projects, such as the Wonderwood Expressway and the Mayport Road/Atlantic Boulevard fly over. In addition, BBA provides scholarships to students, who reside in the Beaches community, to attend a local college with a concentration in business.

BEACHES BUSINESS ASSOCIATION, INC. is a Domestic Non Profit business incorporated in Florida, USA on September 20, 1991. Identification number: N45259
